Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection: ICSI

What is an andrology lab?

The Andrology Lab within the Ronald O. Perelman and Claudia Cohen Center for Reproductive Medicine specifically deals with men’s health. Lab staff members are responsible for the collection and analysis of semen specimens, as well as the performance of intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) procedures, in which a single sperm is injected directly into an egg to achieve fertilization during an in vitro fertilization cycle. The lab also receives and prepares frozen partner and donor sperm from sperm banks for fertility procedures.
